There will be a wider choice of holidays to Cape Verde next winter when Thomson’s monopoly on direct flights comes to an end. The Cape Verde Experience will operate its own flights from Stansted and Bristol between December 2010 and March 2011. A Hamburg International Airbus A319 with 150 seats will operate the service to Boa Vista in Cape Verde, and also to Banjul in The Gambia, making twin-centre holidays with The Gambia or Senegal an attractive option.
Friday flights from Bristol will operate to Boa Vista via Banjul on the outbound leg, and on the return will be direct from Boa Vista to Bristol. Tuesday flights from Stansted will be direct to Boa Vista on the outbound leg, on the return the flight will operate via Banjul. The flight from Boa Vista to Banjul takes only one hour.
Paul Kenny, commercial manager of The Cape Verde Experience, says: “This will bring great benefit to many UK visitors, providing more choice and the convenience of regional flying. It also makes possible multi-centre holidays, combining Cape Verde with Gambia and neighbouring Senegal. The additional flights will mean better choice for holidaymakers and should also benefit hoteliers in Cape
Verde.”

New Charter Flight from Bristol / Stansted to Boa Vista
The Cape Verde Experience is pleased to announce that it will exclusively charter its own flights to the island of Boa Vista this winter (2010/11). The tour operator will offer new weekly departures from both Bristol (Fridays) and Stansted (Tuesdays), which will operate during December 2010 - March 2011 with Hamburg International airlines. These new flights will operate via Banjul on either their outbound or inbound routes, thus allowing for single-centre holidays, as well as twin-centres with The Gambia. Hotel Choice on the Island of Boa Vista
The Cape Verde Experience offers four hotels on the island of Boa Vista, the island characterised by 55km of powder white sand beaches and dunes. The Cape Verde Experience features 15 hotels in total - ranging from 2.5 grade to 4 grade, with a variety of board options available - across six of the ten islands in the Cape Verde archipelago.
The landscapes and character of the islands can be diverse, but each reflects an exotic blend of African, Brazilian and Portuguese cultures. The Cape Verde Experience can book single-centre and twin-centre holidays, as well as island-hopping itineraries for its guests. A new island-hopping itinerary has been added to the brochure - The Colours of Cape Verde – a 14-night trip, which incorporates the islands of Boa Vista, São Vicente and Santo Antão.
